We are lucky to be walking distance to a number of beautiful beaches. The closest is Mullins which has beach bars, restaurants, water sports and chairs for hire and which is a 5-minute level stroll from the property. If you walk a further 5-minutes south, you'll get to the much quieter Gibbes Beach or if you walk 5-minutes north, you'll come to the normally deserted St Peters Bay beach. What a choice!
By the way, if you hop on a south bound bus, then Thunder Bay beach is only 5 minutes away. Going north bound by bus, you'll easily get to the many beaches of Speightstown and, travelling a bit further north, the wonderful Heywoods beach: a favourite of locals and not to be missed.
There are a great number of restaurants within walking distance, catering for all tastes and budgets.
The majority of them are located on Mullins beach: from the upmarket Sea Shed at the southern end, Adrians Beach bar, Larry Rogers restaurant, Cici’s beach bar to the iconic Bombas at the northern point.
There are also 2 local restaurants on the main road which serve tasty, home-made Bajan cooking at its best: Grandene’s and Hindzz.
There are 2 supermarkets in close proximity:
There is also a 24-hr Rubis petrol station with mini mart just around the corner from Jack’s Place: ideal if you need some essentials quickly!
No, you don't necessarily need a car to enjoy an amazing vacation at Jack's Place because it is within easy walking distance to many facilities, as well as to the main north/south Highway 1B bus route which has buses regularly going both north (to Speightstown ) and south (to Holetown, Bridgetown and beyond!).
However, Barbados is an island with a diverse array of wonderful things to see and do, so we would recommend a car for at least part of your visit so that you and your guests can benefit from visiting all corners of this wonderful island.
By the way, Jack's Place has a covered carport and off-road parking should you need it.
All bath towels and bed linen are included, as well as WiFi access both inside and outside.
We also have a supply of pool towels, towelling robes and – should you need it – light duvets to cuddle into. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, cool bags and beach mat are also provided as well as a selection of pool toys such as lilos (with electric pump), ball, noodles and diver sticks.
We can also provide a range of services to enhance your stay, including airport transfers, housekeeping, and personalized local recommendations. Our goal is to make your vacation as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
There are a total of 4 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms which can be offered either as a 3- or 4-bed configuration, to best suit your specific needs.
Jack's Place can therefore accomodate a maximum of 8 guests.
Guests are able to check in from 4:00 pm and are asked to vacate by 11:00 am on their day of departure. A late check-out may be available subject to the arrival of incoming guests: please do feel free to enquire about this.
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the time of year. Please ask for details
You can make a reservation by contacting us through our website, or via our dedicated vacation specialist, ZenBreak, who also offer a variety of other services to ensure that your trip to Barbados is a memorable one.
Unfortunately, and despite the fact that we are pet lovers ourselves and have both cats and dogs at home, we do not allow pets at Jack's Place.
